Creamy, flavorful, and indulgent — this lobster and shrimp pasta combines tender seafood with rich, garlicky sauce and perfectly cooked noodles for a quick, elegant dish that feels like a fancy night in.
Ingredients
• Fettuccine noodles
• Lobster tails
• Langostino tails (cooked)
• Shrimp (peeled & deveined)
• Heavy whipping cream
• Grape tomatoes
• Diced onion
• Garlic cloves
• Shredded Italian blend cheese (Parmesan, Asiago & Romano)
• Butter
• Olive oil (or your preferred cooking oil)
Seasonings
• Cajun seasoning
• Garlic powder
• Onion powder
• Paprika
• Salt
• Black pepper
• (Optional) Fresh or dried parsley
• (Optional) Red pepper flakes
Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta
Boil the entire box of fettuccine noodles in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Prepare the Seafood
In a large pan, melt some butter. Add the langostino tails and shrimp. Season with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Sauté until fully cooked, then set aside.
3. Prep the Lobster
Wash the lobster tails and pat them dry. Flip the lobster over so the shell is down on the cutting board. Using your sharpest knife (or a chopper), carefully split the lobster in half lengthwise, all the way down to the tail. Be patient—this may take a few tries.
4. Cook the Lobster
Season the lobster with Cajun seasoning and a little oil (use whatever seasoning you prefer). Heat a pan until very hot, then add the lobster tails cut-side down. Cook on both sides until fully cooked through. Halfway through, add a stick of butter and baste the lobster with the melted butter.
5. Sauté the Aromatics
If the pot needs more oil, add some. In the same pan used for the lobster, sauté the diced onions, garlic, and grape tomatoes. Cook until softened but not mushy.
6. Make the Sauce
To the same pot, pour in the heavy whipping cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the shredded Italian cheese blend and mix until creamy.
Note: The cheese already has salt, so hold off on adding extra seasoning until after the meat goes in. This helps you control the saltiness.
7. Combine Everything
Add the cooked fettuccine noodles to the sauce and mix well. Then return the shrimp and langostino, mix until combined.
8. Final Taste & Serve
Taste your pasta. If needed, add more seasoning or cheese. Once it’s perfect, garnish with fresh or dried parsley, top with the reserved lobster tails, and serve hot. Enjoy!
